LG Phone Flash Player Hacks

One thing I came across awhile back was a friend who wanted free games on their LG phone. As I have stated in earlier posts, I have an LG phone as well. The Chocolate Touch that is. I researched this as I had heard rumors of putting even .swf games on there and I was pleasantly surprised that with a little rooting you can easily put flash games and applications on an LG touch screen phone such as the Chocolate Touch, The enV Touch, and The Dare.

A few things you will have to do is download BitPim from their website here and install it. Not all OS's will install this as I had to install over my Linux Ubuntu instead of my Windows 7 OS. Once it is installed go ahead and open it up. It will take a moment to load but once it is completely loaded, plug your phone in via USB. Next hit the search button to find your phone. If you use an LG Chocolate Touch like I did, you will get a pop up about how it detected an "Other" phone. This is fine. Go to the settings and click the list box where it will let you select the type of phone you have. Again if you are using the same phone as me, you will need to trick the system. Otherwise just select the phone you have and the model. Make sure it is precise and correct or you will have errors. Back to tricking the system, simply tell the program that your phone is an LG enV Touch and it will work the same because of the very similar root folder names.

Now that you have all that set up we can start. I will assume you already have a flash game. (Tip: you will want a very very fast paced game that will perform just as well at a slow speed such as MicroOlympics.) You can also use flash applications, even home made ones using Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 like this one I made out of request. Rename your flash game to one of the following :

ezTipType1Color1Sub.swf will replace the ez Tip Calculator
ezTipType1Color2Sub.swf will replace the other theme's ez Tip Calculator
WorldClockType1Sub.swf will replace the world clock

Once they are renamed, go into the "File System" on BitPim  and a small folder will appear in the list box. Double click on that and more sub folders will appear. DO NOT TOUCH THEM! Scroll down till you find one named flash then go into ui and tools. Here you will find the files you are going to replace. Right click them and save them to a folder for back up if you ever want to change them back. Then simply drag and drop your renamed flash file onto the list and it will upload to your phone. Once it is on there close the program, disconnect your phone, and then navigate to where it was saved to and your phone should now have free games.
